Core4 Manager

Add Controller

Adding a controller to a project

During software development, your controller must be switched into development mode. In this mode, the controller will ignore its installed firmware. Instead, it will download the firmware on each boot from a Core4Manager. This allows quick turnaround times when developing and testing. Please see the development mode page to learn how to reconfigure a controller for this.

To add the new controller to a project, click and drag the controller's line and drop it on the project you want to assign. A dialog will ask for an IP address. Select the IP address the controller should use during development.
Note: In development mode, the controller will ignore any IP address setting in it's configuration data, but will solely use the IP address you enter here.

As soon as the controller has been added to a project, it will proceed to boot, as seen by the messages in the Messages window.
